Following this year's Summer Reading Theme of "Color Our World," we'll pass out pocket-sized coloring books to everyone who signs up for our Summer Reading Program.
These coloring books reveal a painter's palette that you can fill in with color-coded stickers!
- Take your coloring book to other nearby libraries and you'll receive a unique paint-splotch sticker!
- Collect up to FOUR (4) stickers and you can return to your home library for a prize—a super cool and colorful vinyl sticker that you can put on a water bottle, laptop, car window, etc!
- Pick up your coloring book from your home library, either during or after Summer Reading Kickoff: Of course, your home library can already start you off with a paint-splotch sticker, meaning you only have to visit three neighboring libraries to qualify for a prize!! Once you've got four stickers, you can return to your home library to pick up your prize!
- Participants have until the end of the Summer Reading Program to turn in their completed coloring books!
This year's coloring book is made possible by The Library Network, inspired by their Passport Program from last summer, which encouraged everyone to visit neighboring libraries and learn more about the benefits of a library cooperative! For example, not only can you use your library card at other nearby libraries, but you can also request some of their materials to be sent to you and your home library!
Oh, and...yes, you can fold it out and color in some cute library mascots and library iconography, just for fun!
