Normandy Oaks Park and Elks Park will be closed Wednesday morning while ecologists are on site treating invasive grasses in the NW corner of Normandy Oaks.
When: Weds., April 23, 8 a.m. - approx. noon
- Where: Normandy Oaks & Elks Parks
- Why: Herbicide treatment will be spot-applied to specific invasive grasses (tall fescue and other invasive, cool-season grasses)
- Purpose: To help stop the spread of invasive grasses and promote healthy park greenspaces.
There is nothing to be concerned about for nearby residents: herbicide will be spot-applied and allowed to dry before parks are reopened.
