Mahany / Meininger Senior Community Center will have our doors open July 1, 2021!


We are proud to offer Aphasia Group, Billiards, Computer Club, Creative Coloring, Crochet Creations, Duplicate Bridge, Euchre Drop-In, Helping Hands, Senior Sew, Sit ‘n Knit, Kerry Price Sing-Along, PAL’s, Ask the Computer Lady, and classes of art and fitness.  

Please call, 248-246-3900, to inquire the dates and times in July for your specific interests. Some require registration and payment but many are free or very low cost for participants.

The City of Royal Oak has a beautiful community center where mature adults aged 50 and better can enjoy opportunities for lifelong education, fitness, nutrition and leisure activities. In addition, supportive services that promote independence and quality of life are available for residents who are 60 and over or permanently disabled.

Facility Rental Information is available. Additional services and programs are offered through the Senior / Community Center such as A.G.E., Meals, and R.O.S.E.S.

The Jack and Patti Salter Community Center, located at 1545 E Lincoln Avenue, also offers enjoyable classes for mature adults. A list of activities at this center can be found in Insight Magazine, a quarterly newsletter that is delivered to every address in Royal Oak. The Salter Center is open Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
