The Royal Oak Restaurant Association is excited to present a new event unlike anything else on August 2nd and 3rd!

Join us on 2nd Street, 3rd Street, and the newly designed alley walk for a truly unique sampling experience! Local Royal Oak restaurants will be offering delicious vegan samplings along with carefully-crafted cocktails, but the fun doesn’t end there!

FREE ENTRY includes an array of incredible local artists, vegan-friendly vendors, music, games and activities, local non-profit organizations, and Health & Wellness education with local health professionals!

Sampling tickets will be available for all event goers throughout the two days.

Live Music Thursdays promotes events happening all over Downtown

Royal Oak live music options are amping up with the launch of “Live Music Thursdays.” Already recognized as one of southeast Michigan’s top music cities, Royal Oak is featuring a wide array of live music entertainment throughout downtown all summer.
Live Music Thursdays kicked off on July 11 for six consecutive Thursdays with live music performances at the Royal Oak Commission for the Arts Summer Concert Series, which is returning by popular demand, as well as nearly a dozen popular live music venues throughout Royal Oak such as Goldfish tea, 526 Main Dueling Pianos, The Morrie, ROAK Brewing, Dessert Oasis, Oak City Grille, Goodnite Gracie's and many more.

Be sure to get your business listed in the business database on the Downtown Royal Oak website at Registration just takes a few minutes but gives the Downtown Manager essential information about your business, such as contact information, and location. Your business will be listed on the downtown website.

Did you know that the DDA has a facade improvement grant?

The DDA administers a facade grant program for properties inside the Downtown Development District. Qualifying properties are eligible to receive a 50% reimbursement of the total cost of facade improvement work up to a maximum of $10,000. 

Completed applications must be submitted to the Downtown Manager, along with official cost estimates of the work and photos of the property. Completed applications are then reviewed by the DDA's Infrastructure Committee and must be approved by the DDA Board of Directors.
