Construction Project Updates

The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project. If you have questions you can contact the Engineering Division at 248.246.3260.

CAP1806 S. Campbell Road Resurfacing

10 Mile Road to 11 Mile Road

Contractor: Iafrate Construction Company

Lane restrictions will begin on Monday June 18th.  The east half of S. Campbell Road will be closed during the first phase of construction, and traffic will be shifted to the west side of the road.  One lane will be open in each direction.  The following left turns will not be allowed during this phase of construction:
 

• Northbound and southbound Campbell Road at 11 Mile Road.
• Northbound and southbound Campbell Road at Lincoln Avenue.
• Westbound Lincoln Avenue at S. Campbell Road.

 
Commuters approaching the construction area near the Campbell and I-696 intersection should expect delays and are advised to find alternate routes during construction. Motorists using I-696 are advised to use the Woodward Avenue entrances and exits to avoid delays.  You can find more information on the project at romi.gov/campbellroad

CAP1808 N. Main Street Resurfacing

11 Mile Road to Gardenia Avenue

Contractor: Pro-Line Asphalt Paving Corp.

Traffic was recently shifted to the west side of N. Main Street, with one lane open in each direction.  Left turns are prohibited at Catalpa/Gardenia and at 11 Mile Road for vehicles traveling north and south.

The contractor plans remove and replace all handicap ramps and some sections of deteriorated curb on the east side of the road.  Pedestrians should find another route if possible.

CAP1815 Asphalt Resurfacing Improvements

Contractor: AJAX Paving Industries, Inc.

The project is divided into three phases:

Phase 1: Paving is complete.  The landscaping contractor tentatively plans to begin restoration during the week of June 18th.
 
Phase 2: The streets are now paved, and the contractor will perform restoration of the greenbelt/lawn areas once Phase 1 streets have been restored.
 
Phase 3: The contractor will continue removing and replacing curbing on Phase 3 streets the week of June 18th.  The contractor is planning to mill off the existing asphalt from each street starting on June 26th.

CAP1835 Road Reconstruction Improvements

Contractor: Hard Rock Concrete, Inc.

Woodland Avenue - Webster Road to Glenwood Road

The intersection of Glenwood and Woodland has been poured and this intersection will remain closed for approximately one week to cure.  The contractor plans to back-fill and level the greenbelt areas during the week of June 18th and to place the handicap ramps at the intersection of Glenwood.  Placement of sod will not occur until after Labor Day in order to ensure growth.

Bonnie View Drive - Lloyd Avenue to Northwood Boulevard

Work on this street is complete.

Yorba Linda Boulevard - Fairlawn Avenue to Springer Avenue

The contractor has paved the outer half of Yorba Linda (south side, cul-de-sac and west side) and this half of the road will remain closed for approximately one week.  The contractor plans to install driveway approaches along this half of the road later during the week of June 18th and will begin preparing for paving on the other half of the road afterward.

Parkway Drive - Normandy Road to Woodward Avenue

Linwood Avenue - Webster Road to Glenwood Road

The contractor plans to begin pavement removals on the west side of Linwood Avenue during the week of June 18th.  The road will still be open to local traffic throughout the week.

Delaware Avenue - E. Kenilworth Avenue to E. Harrison Avenue

CAP1505 Concrete Street Repairs

Contractor: Galui Construction Company, Inc.

The contractor has started saw-cutting the project streets.  Pavement removals and concrete pavement will not begin until mid-June.  

CAP1822 Non-Motorized Improvements

Contractor: Warren Contractors & Development, Inc.

This project is tentatively scheduled to start on Monday June 25th.
