CAP1715 Asphalt Resurfacing Improvements

Contractor: AJAX Paving Industries, Inc.

Phase 1 and 2 paving work is complete, with the exception of N. Washington Avenue, where more road base repair work was needed. N. Washington Avenue is scheduled to be paved along with the Phase 3 streets.

For Phase 3 streets, the contractor plans to begin milling the asphalt and performing concrete base repairs the week of June 12th.

The contractor also plans to begin curb removal work on Phase 4 streets during the week of June 12th.

Restoration work for Phases 1, 2 and 3 is tentatively scheduled for the last week in June.

CAP1735 Road Reconstruction Improvements

Contractor: Mark Anthony Contracting, Inc.

Batavia Avenue

The contractor plans to finish installing the water main piping the week of June 12th. The new water main is scheduled to be chlorinated and tested for the remainder of the week.

A section of sanitary sewer will be replaced between Lincoln Avenue and E. Hudson Avenue.

Dallas Avenue

The contractor plans to begin mobilizing to Dallas Avenue during the week of June 12th and is tentatively scheduled to begin water main installation later in the week.

Fairview Avenue

The contractor is planning to begin work on Fairview Avenue the week of June 12th. The contractor will begin removing concrete and replacing sewer piping within the cul-de-sac area. The concrete within the roadway will also be removed.

The driveways off of Fairview Avenue will be closed during construction. Residents on the south side of Fairview Avenue have been authorized to park in visitor parking spaces at the apartment complex.

The business plaza on the north side of Fairview Avenue will have a temporary gravel driveway installed at the south end of the property during construction as shown below.

The remaining streets are scheduled to be reconstructed in the following order:

Kalama Avenue: Brinkey Avenue to Stephenson Highway
Brinkey Avenue: Kalama Avenue to Harwood Avenue
Lockwood Avenue: Catalpa Drive to Crane Avenue

CAP1630 Special Assessment Paving Improvements

Contractor: Mark Anthony Contracting, Inc.

Public Alley - East of Rochester Road, from Whitcomb Ave. to Millard Ave.

The alley is scheduled to be paved starting Friday June 9th and be completed the following Monday or Tuesday.

S. Edison Avenue

The contractor is currently preparing the roadway for paving. The contractor plans to pour concrete during the week of June 12th.

Wrenford Road, Massoit Road, Bassett Road, Girard Road

The restoration work on these streets has been delayed due to topsoil availability. The contractor plans to begin restoration starting Tuesday June 13th and the streets will be restored in the order listed above.

W. Park Avenue

Paving preparation work is planned for the week of June 12th and the road is tentatively scheduled to be paved the week of June 19th.

Public Alley - 14 Mile Road to Rochester Road (behind businesses)

The contractor tentatively plans to begin work within the alley towards the end of June.

CAP1535 Road Reconstruction Improvements

Contractor: Hard Rock Concrete, Inc.

Sherman Drive Construction

The contractor plans to finish pouring concrete at the intersections of Laurel Court and Louis Avenue on Monday June 12th.

The contractor has paved all of Sherman Drive except for the section between Maxwell Avenue and the Sherman Oaks condos. The contractor plans to pave the north half of this short section during the week of June 12th. The intersections at Maxwell Avenue and N. West Street will be poured later in the week.

Maxwell Avenue is closed at the intersection of Sherman Drive, and will remain closed for approximately two weeks. Maple Avenue can be used an alternate north/south route.

Sidewalk installation is partially complete. The contractor will continue work on sidewalks along Sherman Drive as the schedule permits.

Linwood Avenue Construction

Work on Linwood Avenue from Woodward Avenue to 12 Mile Road is scheduled to begin on Monday June 12th. The contractor will begin with underground utility work, and the road will be open to local traffic only. Once this work is complete, the contractor will remove all the roadway concrete. During the work day (7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. +/-), the road will be closed to traffic. Residents have been authorized to park in the Shrine Grade School parking lot as needed during construction.

CAP1710 Water Main Improvements

Contractor: F.D.M. Contracting, Inc.

Bellaire Avenue

The contractor will continue sidewalk and driveway preparation work the week of June 12th.

N. Vermont Avenue and Ferris Avenue

These roads are scheduled to be fully open to traffic on Monday June 12th. The contractor plans to complete the remaining sidewalk / ramp concrete work later in the week.

Rochester Road

The contractor has started to replace concrete sidewalk starting at the south end of the project, working north. Concrete for the sidewalks is tentatively scheduled to be continued next week.

The easternmost lane of northbound Rochester Road will have intermittent lane closures during work hours.

Public Alley - W Sixth Street to W Seventh Street, east of Washington Ave.

The alley and the road crossing at W. Sixth Street are scheduled to be paved on Tuesday June 13th. The new concrete will need to cure for one week before it is opened to traffic. W. Seventh Street will remain open to traffic while W. Sixth Street is closed.

Street parking will continue to be closed on W. Seventh Street between S. Washington Avenue and S. Center Street.

CAP1505 Concrete Street Repairs

Contractor: Galui Construction Co., Inc.

The contractor plans to finish work on the project streets located south of 12 Mile Road by Monday June 12^th with the exception of Maxwell Avenue. Work on Maxwell Avenue and north of 12 Mile Road is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of June 19th.

2017 Sidewalk Improvement Program

Contractor: Italia Construction, Inc.

The contractor has started working east of Main Street and north of 13 Mile, and will continue throughout the coming weeks. Areas of the city that are scheduled for new sidewalk installation (where none previously existed) will be completed after the removal/replacement work is finished. MDOT - Woodward Avenue Work

MDOT will have rolling lane closures along Woodward Avenue until mid-June to allow for catch basin repairs. Closures will take place in the outer lanes of the roadway, and only one lane will be closed at a time.
