On Monday, January 19, the community is invited to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr for the annual Day On, Not a Day Off event, with the cities and school districts of Royal Oak, Berkley, Clawson. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy breakfast together, participate in a Freedom Walk, and complete volunteer activities such as donation sorting and blanket making.

Curbside tree recycling has been extended and will be available through January 16 on your regular collection day.

Please place your tree at the curb on your regular trash day. Remember to remove all decorations, lights, stands, and plastic bags—otherwise, your tree won’t be picked up.

If you miss curbside collection, don’t worry! You can drop off your tree for free at SOCRRA, located at 995 Coolidge, through March 31.
