CAP2509 13 Mile Road Resurfacing

13 Mile Road from Woodward Avenue to Crooks Road

The contractor will be removing (milling) the existing asphalt pavement in the outside lanes Monday and Tuesday this week. Base road repairs will be performed throughout the week and the contractor plans to pave the first layer of new asphalt on Friday and Saturday.

Traffic Changes:  13 Mile Road will have one lane open in each direction throughout construction. To decrease traffic backups, left turns will be prohibited along the corridor and at the major intersections of Coolidge Highway, Benjamin Avenue, Durham Road (eastbound only), and Crooks Road (eastbound only). Access to businesses will be maintained during construction.

This work is scheduled to be completed by the end of July, in advance of Dream Cruise weekend.

CAP2514 Downtown Resurfacing

The city will be resurfacing Williams Street from E Seventh to E Third and W Sixth Street from S Washington to S Center this Spring. The contractor will also be installing ADA parking spaces and ramps on W Second Street adjacent to the post office.

On Williams Street, the contractor is paving the roadway with new asphalt beginning Monday.

Once paving is complete the contractor will be working on backfilling and lawn restoration on Willams and Sixth. Then beginning on Friday they will install the new road striping and paint markings on Second Street, Sixth and Williams.

The contractor will also be installing speed humps on Forest Avenue east of Main Street this week.

CAP2535 Road Reconstruction

Ravena Avenue - Chester Road to Dead End

Hillside Drive - Hillside Court and Yorba Linda Boulevard

The city's contractor is working on prepping the new driveway approaches and plans to pour the new concrete on Wednesday. Once the new concrete is placed the contractor will open the roadway to vehicles.

Benjamin Traffic Circles

The city's contractor has poured the new concrete for the two outer circles between Webster and 13 Mile, and the areas will remain closed off while the new concrete cures and they finish installation.

Once complete they will work on the inner two traffic circles.

Any residents whose driveway access will be affected will receive a door hanger notice the day beforehand so they can move their vehicles.
