Young residents support pollinators

Earlier this week, Royal Oak celebrated the kickoff of a beautification project at the pocket park at 13 Mile and Main, made possible by the “EcoConnexions From the Ground Up” grant from America In Bloom and the Canadian National Railway Company. Royal Oak was one of only ten cities nationwide to receive the grant.

Improvements include pollinator gardens, new pathways, seating, enhanced bike facilities, and the return of the beloved bee spring-riders from the library’s butterfly garden.

Stay tuned for updates as we transform this tiny park into a beautiful green space for everyone to enjoy—especially pollinators!
