Leprechaun marches in parade down Washington Avenue

St Patrick's Day Parade is Saturday

Royal Oak is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a parade down Washington Ave. on Saturday, March 16, at noon.

If you miss it, you'll be green with envy. Deck out your kids, your pets, your bicycles and wagons in everything green and join us for a family-filled celebration of Irish tradition. 

Parade starts at Royal Oak Middle School. It’ll travel south on Washington Ave, then westbound on West 7th Street.

Yard Waste Pick Up Begins Early

Get ready to kickstart your spring cleaning one week early! Yard waste pickup in Royal Oak will begin on March 25.  Take advantage of the warmer temperatures (and the extra week - yard waste pickup normally begins on April 1) and tidy up your outdoor spaces.

This event is presented by the Community Engagement Advisory Board.

After a small hiatus, members of the Royal Oak Police & Fire Departments have decided to once again team up to play the Detroit Red Wings Alumni. All proceeds benefit the Love, Team Tessa foundation and their fight to end childhood neuroblastoma cancer. Hope to see you there.

Parade marches down Main Street

Memorial Day Parade Application

The date is approaching quickly for the Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade -- one of the most prestigious parades held in Michigan.

The parade will step off on May 27 at 9:00 a.m. sharp on Main Street at Lincoln and proceed north to Centennial Commons. A ceremony immediately follows the end of the parade at the Veterans War Memorial.

Groups looking to be in the parade must fill out this year's parade application.
