What is a Master Plan?
The Master Plan is a city’s primary opportunity to comprehensively evaluate its present condition and recent past, and decide how to best shape its future. The Master Plan will reflect community goals and visions for the future, as well as specific guidelines related to transportation, utilities, recreation, public services, and more. The Master Plan provides a legal basis for all land development regulations, including zoning ordinances, and also designates the location and intensity of future development.
Participate
The Royal Oak Master Plan process is underpinned by a robust public engagement program to capture residents’, property owners’, and other invested stakeholders’ opinions, preferences, and visions for the community’s future. Your participation is critical to the Master Plan’s success.
